Ground Squirrel

On Sunday, June 3, 2007, I saw some ground squirrels at the Paul Lake Provincial Park. Ground squirrels and just like prairie dogs. I had almost forgotten that British Columbia had these cute little critters. These animals let you get so close to them and then they pop themselves into a hole and come up through a hole somewhere else. They have tunnels dug under the grass that lead to holes everywhere. You do have to be careful not to step into the holes they create because you could hurt your ankles.
