I had just read an article about the wild horse herd that is located at the Tunkwa Lake Provincial Park, Logan Lake, BC this past week. I was amazed to read that there are actually wild horses in this province. I never knew this.
On Sunday, April 22, 2007, I went for a drive out to Savona, BC, which is located west of Kamloops, BC on Highway 1. I saw a sign on the highway that said Tunkwa Lake Provincial Park.
"Weird," I thought to myself. "I had just read that article about the wild horses out here."
I wanted to see the wild horses so bad. The provincial park was 25 km down the road. The road was actually in pretty good shape. Some roads I have been on in BC have actually turned out to not even be a road at all so it is nice when you do come across a road that is well maintained.
Now, I was a little disappointed because I did not get to see the wild horses. However, I did get to see a coyote and I was thrilled to death. I love coyotes. They are my favourite four-footed furry animal. I actually got to see coyote twice. However, he was too far away for me to get a picture of him.
