River Flooding in Kamloops, BC

On Saturday, June 2, 2007, I went for a drive to the Grassland Park, Kamloops, BC. This is a picture of a field being flooded by a river located just west of Kamloops. As you can see the river has risen over its banks and it has flooded out a field. You can see the fence line in the water. There are some serious concerns about parts of British Columbia flooding this year and it is because we had a lot of snowfall this past winter and then hot temperatures just this past week. It was 30 degrees Celsius on the day I took this picture.
