Pheasant

On June 18, 2007, I was just coming out of the Niskonolith Provincial Park in Chase, BC and I saw this pheasant walking across the middle of the road. I have seen several pheasants before some in Ontario and some out here in BC but this is the first one I actually got a picture of.

Painted Turtle

On June 18, 2007, I was at the Niskonolith Provincial Park in Chase, BC and I saw a painted turtle. He was just sitting on the side of the hill. Turtles are really kind of neat. I like how they carry their houses on their backs. That would be really convenient if you traveled a lot.

Chase, BC

On June 18, 2007, I visited Chase, BC. This picture was taken on the winding mountainous road that takes you to the Niskonolith Provincial Park. This is over-looking the town of Chase. It is a very beautiful view.

Ashcroft, BC

On June 17, 2007, I visited Ashcroft, BC. Ashcroft is a nice peaceful little community. This bridge takes you over to the town. On the mountainside are some graduation dates listed. I think the earliest graduation date I saw was 1971.

Waterfall, Spences Bridge, BC

On June 17, 2007, I saw a waterfall in Spence's Bridge, BC. Spence's Bridge is a very small community located north west of Merritt. There are quite a few waterfalls in British Columbia but each one I see is interesting.

Nicola River

On June 17, 2007, I drove from Merritt, BC to Spence's Bridge, BC. You can see the Nicola River winding it's way along the mountainous landscape. The Nicola River would probably be a good place to fish. In some places the river was quite high and wide.

Downtown, Merritt, BC

On June 17, 2007, I drove through downtown Merritt, BC. It was a Sunday afternoon and it almost looks like Merritt is a ghost town because on this street there was nobody in sight.
